Violent crime up in US
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has released the preliminary Uniform Crime Report for 2005. This annual report shows that across the US violent crime increased 2.5% in 2005 in comparison to 2004. This is the preliminary report, so there is no specific data on Colorado, but violent crime went up 1.9% in the west. The Midwest had the largest increase, with a 5.7% increase overall.
