We weren't the only country to have elections this week, Nicaragua voted on Monday. With the latest election results (available online in Spanish), it appears that Daniel Ortega has won the presidency. Does that name sound familiar? It's not a surprise, in the 1980's the Contras worked against the Ortega government in Nicaragua with support from the CIA. Interested in learning more about US-Nicaragua policy?
