The blizzard shut down University of Colorado's Boulder campus, but that doesn't prevent us from posting to our blog. And today seems like an appropriate day to draw your attention to government web resources on weather. All of these are from the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA):
- Watchings, Warnings, or Advisories for Colorado is updated every 2 to 3 minutes.
- Storm Events database (National Climatic Data Center) provides state- and county-level data on all weather events from 1993 to the present as well as select data going back to 1955.
- Climate Prediction Center features research reports, annual summaries, predictions, and data.
- Climate Data Online allows you to search for climate data by country, geographic region, data set, station name, and mapping option.
