EPA Proposes Greenhouse Gas Ruling

Yesterday the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a proposed rule that would require large facilities to get permits indicating that they are making efforts to minimize greenhouse gas emissions. EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson mentioned the proposed rule in her speech to the 2nd Annual Governors' Global Climate Summit. On the EPA's website you can find a fact sheet as well as the full text of the proposed rule.

For media coverage about the proposed rule, and a related bill making its way through the Senate, read this article in the Washington Post.
